Seventy-one-year-old man dies at Westerly beach after he was hit by wave
WESTERLY − A 71-year-old man died at a beach in Westerly Thursday afternoon, according to the Westerly police. The man appears to have suffered fatal injuries when a wave crashed over him while he was wading at Weekapaug Inn Beach, according to Westerly Chief Paul J. Gingerella.
