He was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, illegal operation of a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, speeding over 70 mph on a limited access highway, failure to maintain proper lane, and second-degree assault with a motor vehicle.

The crash occurred on May 18, 2023, in the area just prior to Exit 88 on Interstate 95.

According to his arrest warrant, Mikeworth was traveling south in a blue Toyota Avalon when for some unknown reason he lost control of the vehicle and it left the side of the road, traveling into a rock face.

A passenger was ejected from the vehicle and later airlifted to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries, including an open wound to the head/face and severe neck laceration.
