NTSB: Plane in Colonie crash had no mechanical issues
The NTSB is out with its preliminary report on the deadly June 17 plane crash in Colonie. There were no mechanical issues, they said, and there’s still no definitive cause. The airplane struggled to make it to 800 feet, according to the report. It then lost altitude and rolled a few times before crashing in a wooded area near the William K. Sanford Library.
Four arrested in Albany for illegal possession of firearms, some stolen

ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — The suspect accused of hitting a UAlbany student while riding an illegal dirt bike in April appeared in court Monday for a compliance conference. According to court records, Austin Breyette previously pled not guilty in June to the charges filed against him, including leaving the scene of an injury accident, causing serious injury with a motor vehicle, and tampering with physical evidence. Authorities said that Breyette hit student Alexa Kropf with his dirt bike – leaving her with serious injuries from which she is still working to recover – and then drove off, allegedly taking the bike to Pougkeepsie, where he has family, and deleting his social media and destroying what he was wearing at the time of the incident.
