Going to an old-school small-town neighborhood tavern in Wisconsin is always a fun experience but this place is one of a kind. The bar is the last place in the entire United States that has its original duckpin bowling alley.

At Rachael and Tom Gonzalez’s home you’ll find chickens pecking away in the backyard, two ponds with goldfish, bees buzzing from flower to flower, and flowerbeds filled with medicinal, edible and native plants. It sounds like the description of a sprawling home located far from the city, yet it’s located near the center of town on a small lot in the Riverwest neighborhood. ...

On the Road with Alice: 77th Alice in Dairyland Prepares for Wisconsin State Fair
The Wisconsin State Fair has always been one of the highlights of my summer. This year, I look forward to returning to West Allis in a new role, as the 77th Alice in Dairyland, Wisconsin’s Agriculture Ambassador, to promote the agriculture exhibits and educational opportunities inside State Fair Park.
