A suspect has been arrested after pushing a 74-year-old woman into the path of a San Francisco train, causing her death.Trevor Belmont, 49, who is also known as Hoak Taing, was arrested on suspicion of pushing Corazon Dandan, 74, of San Mateo County, into a Millbrae-bound train at Powell Street station. Belmont is believed to be homeless, according to authorities.The incident occurred at 11.05pm Monday, the Bay Area Rapid Transit, police said. Motorcylist Killed Monday Evening When Bike Crashes Into Guard Rail On Hwy 1
A motorcyclist was killed earlier this week when they rammed into a guard rail in Half Moon Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol. At about 7:30 p.m. Monday, the motorcyclist was traveling south on state Highway 1 near Bayhill Road when they failed to negotiate a curve and hit a guard rail. The rider was ejected and sustained fatal injuries, CHP said.
Man allegedly stabs SamTrans bus passenger, tries to steal vehicle in San Bruno
Police in San Bruno arrested a man Wednesday for allegedly stabbing a passenger on a San Mateo County Transit District bus and attempting to steal the vehicle. Around 9:15 a.m., police responded to reports of a violent altercation on a SamTrans bus in the 1100 block of Huntington Avenue, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office. Deputies learned that a passenger had been stabbed and the suspect was allegedly attempting to steal the bus. Upon arrival, deputies found a victim suffering from at least one stab wound in the abdomen. The person was transported to a local hospital for surgery and is expected to make a full recovery, the sheriff's office said. Oakland man John Allmon, 58, was taken into custody and booked in the San Mateo County Jail on suspicion of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, theft of a motor vehicle, resisting or delaying a police officer and providing false identification to a police officer.

Crews contain grass fire burning on San Bruno Mountain
Firefighters are responding to a grass fire burning on San Bruno Mountain Tuesday morning, according to authorities.The North County Fire Authority posted on social media about the fire shortly before 11 a.m. NCFA units along with Cal Fire and San Mateo County firefighters were headed to the scene.The fire was estimated to be two or three acres in size. Posts on social media indicated it was burning on the Brisbane side of San Bruno Mountain. Cal Fire aircraft also responded to assist with the fire.
