Future CEOs Attend Third Lemonade Stand Camp at Senior Center
There will be 26 boys and girls ages 8 through 12 gaining business experience during the Auburn Chamber of Commerce Slice of Summer Days Thursday and Friday, July 18 and 19. Last week, they learned business skills at the third annual Lemonade Stand Camp at the Auburn Senior Center. Those included developing their product, selecting a suitable location, creating an advertising and marketing plan, setting a budget and profit goals, and growing customer service skills and handling money. The youngsters will sell the beverage outside businesses at various locations around the city.
EMT courses to be offered in Osceola
Southwestern Community College (SWCC) will be offering an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course in partnership with Clarke County Hospital, beginning on Tuesday, August 6. The EMT course provides comprehensive training in emergency medical care. Participants will learn essential skills, including patient assessment, trauma management, and life-saving interventions. Upon successful completion, students will be eligible for a Southwestern College Certificate of Achievement and can take the National Registry of EMTs certification examination.
