Louisiana fugitive arrested in Lock Haven
Lock Haven, Pa. — Police arrested a Louisiana fugitive in Clinton County. Christopher James Kelley, 32, was stopped by police for a traffic violation on the 200 block of Woodward Ave, in Lock Haven. Kelley was found to have an outstanding warrant for a drug offense out of the Jefferson Parrish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana, according to a release from the Woodward Township Police Department. Kelley was taken into custody, charged for being a fugitive from justice, according to the release from Woodward Township Police Department. He is currently at the Clinton County Correctional Facility awaiting extradition to Louisiana.

Physician convicted in $5.4M fraud scheme
A Louisiana physician was convicted for conspiring to illegally distribute more than 1.8 million opioids and defrauding healthcare benefit programs of more than $5.4 million. Adrian Talbot, MD, 58, was convicted by a federal jury on one count of conspiracy to unlawfully distribute and dispense controlled substances, four counts of unlawfully distributing and dispensing controlled substances, one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, and one count of conspiracy to commit healthcare fraud, according to a July 23 Justice Department news release.
