30 Student Athletes That Made an Impact, and Made Hamilton/Robbinsville Proud, this Spring!

With seven more scholar athletes highlighted below we are proud that we have now brought attention to the incredible feats of 30 of our community's most impressive residents!
Danny Melnick (Hamilton/Hun School) was a graduate student who was a utility player for the Seton Hall University (South Orange, NJ) baseball team this past season. Melnick played in all 54 games and had a .294 batting average for Seton Hall. He had 64 hits, including 20 doubles (team lead), four triples (team lead), two home runs, 26 RBIs and 30 runs scored this past season.
The Pirates had 24 overall wins with nine wins on their home field and seven victories in the Big East Conference.
Emily Diszler (Steinert High School) and Naesha Gadie and Abigail Pfaff, both graduates of Hamilton West High School were members of The College of New Jersey (Ewing) women’s outdoor track and field program.
Diszler, a junior competitor in throwing events placed third in the discus throw and sixth in the hammer throw for TCNJ at the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Outdoor Championships hosted by Stockton University in Galloway.
Gadie was a freshman competitor in distance runs for TCNJ and Pfaff, is listed as a junior competitor in jumps for TCNJ.
The Lions won the team crown at the NJAC Outdoor Championships. Pfaff is listed as a Psychology major, Gadie is listed as a Biology major and Diszler is listed as a Communications major.
Nick Diaz and Connor Luckie, graduates of Hamilton West High School were on the roster for the William Paterson University (Wayne, NJ) baseball team this year. Diaz, a junior right handed pitcher appeared in 14 games and started in one of them for William Paterson. He had one pitching victory and struck out 15 batters for WPU.
Luckie, a junior catcher playd in 27 games and started in 23 of them for WPU with a .274 batting average. He had 20 hits, including five doubles three home runs, 15 RBIs and 19 runs scored for William Paterson.
The Pioneers posted 11 overall wins with five victories on their home field and six wins in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. Luckie is listed as a major in Criminology and Criminal Justice and Diaz is listed as a Sports Management major.
Matthew Plumeri (Steinert High School) was a junior competitor in in sprints for The College of New Jersey men’s track and field program this past season. The Lions placed second in the team scoring at the new Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Outdoor Championships hosted by Stockton University in Galloway. Plumeri is listed as a Health and Exercise Science major.
