A 25-year-old Adams County woman died after a single-vehicle rollover crash near York Springs Monday morning, officials confirmed.

According to a release by Pennsylvania State Police, Sierra Hockley, 25, of Gardners, was pronounced dead on the scene of a crash on Carlisle Pike just north of White Oak Tree Road in Huntington Township, Adams County, around 2:46 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, 2024.

The release stated that Hockley was traveling north on Carlisle Pike in a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee when her vehicle traveled off the road and struck an embankment. During the crash, the vehicle rolled over, and Hockley was ejected from the vehicle, the release said.

Hockley had improperly used the safety belt of the vehicle, Pennsylvania State Police said. Adams County Coroner Francis Dutrow confirmed that the safety belt had been secured behind Hockley, with her not restrained by the belt.

The cause of death for Hockley was multiple blunt force trauma, Dutrow confirmed.

No other vehicles or victims were reported to be involved in the crash, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
