Paoli Police Department makes meth arrest
PAOLI – On July 14th, 2024, during a routine patrol, Paoli Police Department officers arrested Angela Wininger for possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. K9 officer Kilo was deployed during the traffic stop and alerted officers to the presence of narcotics near the rear passenger door. A search of the vehicle uncovered a plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine, with an estimated weight of 4 grams.

Clark County votes to consider new ambulance provider plans
JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — The Clark County Commissioners voted Thursday night to begin discussions to possibly replace New Chapel EMS as the county-wide ambulance provider. The vote comes as New Chapel EMS, formerly ran by former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, has been dealing with leadership changes and staffing issues.
NV traffic stop leads to DUI and Gun Charges
NORTH VERNON, Ind. – On Thursday, July 18, at 8:15 PM, Officer Nathan Vogel of the North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) conducted a traffic stop on a white Chrysler 300 for speeding in the 800 block of S State St. Officer Vogel identified the driver as Andy L. Edgar, 54, of North Vernon. While speaking with Edgar, Officer Vogel detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage inside the Chrysler and asked Edgar to step out of the vehicle.
Elizabethtown man sentenced for his role in Jan. 6, 2021, riot at U.S. Capitol
A Hardin County man has been sentenced for his role in the January 6, 2021, insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. William “Jessie” Stover, 47, of Elizabethtown, was charged in a criminal complaint filed in the District of Columbia with civil disorder, a felony offense. He was also charged with misdemeanor offenses of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, and impeding passage through the Capitol grounds or buildings.

Great today; humidity starts to rise this weekend
Happy Friday! We’re in for another great day. Temperatures are back to comfortably cool levels this early Friday morning as we’ve fallen to the mid 50s across much of central Indiana. High pressure in control over the region will keep mostly sunny skies around today. Humidity remains low and temperatures will only climb to the mid 70s in some locations while others might make it to ~80°. Overall, it will be a fantastic Friday.
