VIRGINIA, USA — A man has died following the recent listeria outbreak, the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) reported. VDH has identified him as a 65-year-old from Virginia's Eastern Health District. Boar's Head, a famous lunch meat company, recalled 71 of its meat products due to the listeria outbreak.

Altavista On Track (AOT) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown Altavista. While many know the group through events like the Scarecrow Stroll, the Giblet Jog, and the newly launched Rivertown Festival, its core mission is supporting the growth of new and existing businesses in the downtown district, which includes both Main and Seventh Streets from Bedford Avenue to roughly the corner of Charlotte Avenue. To support this growth, the group leverages resources from Virginia’s Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), local sponsors, and volunteers, all made possible through an accreditation with both the Virginia and National Main Street programs.

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech Athletics and Playfly Sports announced today that ESPN Blacksburg will become the new radio home of the Virginia Tech Hokies. The multi-year partnership will bring fans across the New River Valley live broadcasts of Hokie football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, baseball and coaches shows. Additionally, Bill Roth, Mike Burnop, Zach Mackey and Evan Hughes will continue in their respective roles with the Virginia Tech Sports Network.
