Jackson’s Rebecca Griebel Accepts Walk-on Spot at Cornell
Jackson Hole graduate Rebecca Griebel is continuing with track and field as a walk-on at Cornell University. Griebel qualified in three individual events at the 2024 state track meet in Casper last May. She finished fourth place in the 4A triple jump. She also ran the 200 meters and was in the long jump.
Ithaca Artist Market: Over three decades of connecting artists to their audiences
ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — The 32nd annual Ithaca Artist Market takes place Friday, August 16th from noon to 7:30 p.m. at the Ithaca Farmers Market pavilion. All 88 booths in the pavilion will be filled with local fine and functional artists. Onondaga County hit by 77 car thefts in one week, mostly by juveniles
SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Seventy-seven vehicles were stolen in Onondaga County in the past week according to Onondaga County Sheriff Toby Shelley. Following the stolen vehicle incident that took place in Clay earlier this week, Sheriff Shelley called the car thefts and smash-and-grabs in the Central New York region “flat out wrong.”
Traffic Stop in Owego Leads to Charges for Binghamton Man
The Tioga County Sheriff's Office says a Binghamton man has been arrested and charged after a traffic stop in Owego earlier this week. On August 13th, 30-year-old Meshak W. Henderson was stopped in the Village of Owego and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree following an investigation during the stop.

Nichols, NY — Driver Jim Pantaleano and trainer Kevin Reynolds Jr. ruled Tioga Downs on a rare Thursday matinee (Aug. 15). When the dust settled Pantaleano came away with five winners and three of them came with trainer Reynolds. They combined for wins with Samosa Hanover, Johnny Chip, and Elysium Seelster.
