Rome woman accused of causing more than $6,000 in damage to vehicle
ROME — A 32-year-old woman is accused of causing more than $6,000 in damage to her estranged husband's pickup truck, according to the Rome Police Department. Police said Nikki L. Marriott, of Sherrill, went to her estranged husband's workplace on Ellsworth Road in Rome at about 10:11 a.m. Wednesday and damaged his 2021 Dodge Ram pickup truck in the parking lot. Police said Marriott broke off both side mirrors and used them to beat multiple dents throughout the vehicle. Police said Marriott also used a hammer to damage the truck.
Woman charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident in Syracuse
Syracuse, N.Y. – A woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with leaving the scene of a fatal car accident. Heniyah S. Williams, 22, is accused of hitting Shane Jackson, 35, on the 100 block of West Court Street with a grey 2006 Honda Pilot around 9:20 p.m. on July 5, according to a criminal complaint filed in Syracuse City Court.
