Suspect in Melvindale Officer Mohamed Said's murder captured in Southwest Detroit
MELVINDALE, Mich. (WXYZ) — The search for the suspect in the shooting of fallen Melvindale Police Department Officer Mohamed Said came to an end Monday evening. A deputy Wayne County executive told reporters that the suspect, 44-year-old Michael Lopez, was captured alive in Southwest Detroit near Michigan Avenue and Otis Street.

(CBS DETROIT) - A 20-year-old Detroit man drowned while swimming in an Oakland County lake over the weekend, officials said. The man was part of a crew that was helping a resident move.
