HARRAH, Okla. ( KFOR ) — A Harrah family who made it their mission to provide the community with affordable fireworks for 30 years is now dealing with a threat of shutting down.

Jeanette Moore said she opened Three J’s Fireworks stand to ensure others can have a happy Fourth of July.

“I want to serve the Lord and do what God wants me to do,” said Moore.

Three J’s Fireworks stand has been in Harrah for decades. However, Moore said she’s worried this 4th of July could be their last.

“Very much stressed on if I’m going to make it or not, or what I’m going to do,” said Moore.

The past two years have been tough for Moore and the threat of closing looms large.

“Everybody went to other places, but I went under and it ended up putting me in a big bind,” said Moore.

Moore said she makes sure to keep her prices fair, rarely marking them up, but it still isn’t enough to keep her up float.

“It might be my last year. I can’t afford to keep going under,” said Moore.

Customers said Moore’s stand has become more than just a business, it’s a symbol of community generosity and celebration.

Sara Bartholomew said Moore’s stand is her “go-to” every year.

“My nephew, he’ll be a year old and I had what $34 left in my pocket and she put together a crap ton of stuff for him,” said Bartholomew. “Even as she’s going through her struggles and has her personal issues and stuff, she still tries to make the fourth happen for everybody.”

Moore said she doesn’t know what the future holds, but is hoping for a miracle.

“I’m waiting to hear what God tells me to do,” said Moore.

Moore said for now, they are open until January.
