New restaurant leases 4,600 sq. ft., opens at Hoboken apartment building, RIPCO says
A new restaurant has taken nearly 4,600 square feet at the base of an apartment building in western Hoboken, in a newly announced deal by RIPCO Real Estate. In a news release, the brokerage team said BYRD is now open at 800 Jackson St., noting that it is the sister restaurant of Common Lot in Millburn. The eatery’s 4,585-square-foot space includes outdoor seating and benefits from what RIPCO described as extensive cosmetic renovations, while the operator has secured a liquor license for the business.

A Harrison man is facing charges after allegedly shooting a teen who knocked on his door and then ran off as a prank, police say. Shortly after 1 a.m. on July 20, police responded to the intersection of Waterford Road and Depot Street in Harrison “after numerous complainants reported hearing several gunshots and screaming in the area,” according to a press release from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
