Old West End Neighborhood Introduces ‘Social Programs Signs Project’
MUNCIE, IN—You may have seen some changes to signage in the Old West End neighborhood, or you may have seen some neighborhood association members on ladders messing with certain street signs. We are not changing parking zones, or stealing public signs. We are installing our Social Programs Signs project.
New fire station planned for MLK Boulevard, Highland Avenue
MUNCIE, Ind. — Muncie's new Fire Station 6 will be built at Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Highland Avenue, on the grounds of McCulloch Park, city officials announced. It will replace the longtime home of Fire Station 6 at 1505 MLK Jr. Blvd. The existing station has "numerous foundation, mold, and livability issues," according to a news release.
Committee meets Monday to prep for next week’s Delaware council recount

Shot multiple times in Muncie – it happened yesterday just before 6:30 a.m., when Muncie Police were called to the 1100 block of East 5th Street for a report of shots fired. The male found outside his vehicle and ultimately life lined to an Indy hospital. Cops need info – call 747-4867.
