HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — A Hartford man will face over two years in prison for drug trafficking.

Multiple arrests made in Waterbury drug bust

Luis Ivan Diaz, 26, was sentenced to 33 months imprisonment followed by four years of supervised release for trafficking fentanyl and cocaine.

At the time of his state arrest in November 2022, Diaz possessed approximately 35 grams of fentanyl, 23 grams of cocaine and five grams of crack cocaine. He was later arrested on federal charges in June 2023 and has been detained ever since.

Diaz pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and cocaine in January 2024.
