State Police arrest three people for allegedly driving drunk with children in the vehicle
State Police have arrested three people recently for allegedly driving while intoxicated with children in their vehicles. Andrew P. Smith, 36, of Troy, was stopped on Hoosick Street in Brunswick around 12:30 a.m. on July 21. He was taken to the State Police station, where he recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.27%. – over three times the legal limit. In addition, police said Smith’s license is revoked because of a previous DWI conviction.
Glens Falls Police: E-bikes running red lights cause two crashes
Glens Falls Police investigating two e-bike crashes. Glens Falls Police are investigating two crashes this week involving e-bikes. On July 23, an e-bike and SUV crashed at the intersection of Bay Street and Sanford Street just before 2:15 p.m., police said. The e-bike operator had serious injuries and was taken to Glens Falls Hospital and later Albany Medical Center. The victim’s condition is stable.
South Glens Falls woman indicted on arson charge
A South Glens Falls woman has been indicted for allegedly setting clothes on fire with a blowtorch during a domestic incident. The fire took place on Second Street around 6:40 a.m. on March 2. Desirae L. Sauter, 39, had set a pile of a man’s clothing on fire in the bedroom. Sauter put it out before police arrived. The floor and window blinds were damaged, police said.
