Yankton and Renner both sweep Legion doubleheaders on the road Monday night

(Dakota News Now) -Even with their ace, Aiden Zerr on the mound, the Brandon Valley legion team still ran into a really good Yankton team that came away with a 5-2 in the first game on the twin bill in Brandon. Gamecocks Shut out by Mudcats
The Humboldt/Hartford Gamecocks suffered a 15-0 loss in Dell Rapids to the Mudcats on Sunday, July 7th. The Mudcats scored two runs in the bottom of the first for an early 2-0 lead. They scored two more in the bottom of the third to extend the lead to 4-0. The big blow came in the bottom of the fourth when the Mudcats scored 11 times. The game then ended on the 15-run rule in five innings.

Dell Rapids, Lennox claim class ‘B’ legion baseball wins
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Dell Rapids and Lennox each tallied class ‘B’ legion baseball wins on Monday night. Post 65 got on the bats early and often as they rolled past Madison 11-1. CJ Smith added two hits and two RBIs in the victory. Lincoln Fersdahl earned the win in relief going 5.2 innings and allowing one unearned run.
Broncos win 3rd in a row, Mudcats put up 11 in the 4th during Sunday’s Cornbelt games
The Madison Broncos won their third game in a row on Sunday, topping Dell Rapids PBR 4-2 at Flynn Field in Madison. Ty Jorgenson had an RBI double in the 1st inning, and Matt Brupee and Dawson Bakker added RBI’s in the 4th and 5th innings for the Broncos. Trey Smith had two hits and scored twice. Brock Minnaert picked up the win. He allowed just 2 runs on 2 hits, and struck out 3. Conner Spindler had a home run in the loss for PBR.
Late Runs Give Blue Teal Win over Wood Ducks
The Flandreau Blue Teal scored three times in the final two innings to get a 6-3 win over the Humboldt/Hartford Wood Ducks on Sunday, July 7th in Humboldt. Flandreau score the first three runs. They got a run in the top of the first and two in the second for a 3-0 lead. The Wood Ducks got one run in the bottom of the second. The score remained 3-1 until the bottom of the sixth. The Wood Ducks added two runs to tie the game 3-3. The Blue Teal, however, would get a run in the top of the eighth and two in the ninth for the win.
Baseball Recap: Zach Lincoln's big game can't quite lead Lincoln over Roosevelt
Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Roosevelt Roughriders. Lincoln was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Roosevelt apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2023.
