Holy Spirit High, Absecon, NJ, Names New Head of School
Holy Spirit Hugh School, located in Absecon, New Jersey has named a new Head of School. He is a 1988 graduate of Holy Spirit High School, named Mike McGhee. It is with great pride that I introduce myself as the newly appointed Head of School at Holy Spirit High School. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead our school that has such a rich and storied tradition! I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than 30 years as a teacher, coach, and administrator. I have spent the last 21 years in administration - from being a Principal, Assistant Principal, Athletic Director, Supervisor of: Special Education, Health & PE, and Performing & Fine Arts.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection are looking into how objects containing lead appeared on Keyport's bay shore.For months at low tide, residents said thousands of pieces of lead slag can be seen along the shoreline. Atlantic City's $22 million project to rebuild Baltic Avenue Canal, prevent flooding is underway
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) -- Atlantic City began construction this year on a $22 million project to rebuild the Baltic Avenue Canal in order to protect the city from persistent flooding.As part of the project, the city will install six pumps on Atlantis Avenue to push out water from the underground tunnel into the waterways of the back bay during major flood events.Crews will also install screening systems to prevent litter from entering the back bay.The canal, which was built in 1912, is connected to hundreds of storm drains, and it's supposed to remove floodwaters from much of the city.However, city...
