    Volunteer firefighters put out Harvey bathroom fire in 30 minutes

    HARVEY, La. ( WGNO ) — A fire occurred in a Harvey structure’s bathroom but was quickly put out thanks to the efforts of volunteer firefighters on Thursday, July 11.

    NOPD: Suspects sought after man is beaten and robbed on front porch

    According to the Harvey Volunteer Fire Company #2, response to reports of a structure fire began at 4:09 p.m. Upon arrival to the scene, firefighters found a contained fire behind a bathroom door.

    With the work of ten firefighters, the blaze was extinguished in about 30 minutes, followed by an additional 30 minutes spent ensuring the site was safe.

    No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
