Taylor County Sheriff’s Office arrests ‘armed & dangerous’ wanted suspect

TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas ( KTAB/KRBC ) – A local man who was wanted by the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) and considered to be armed and dangerous was arrested Thursday morning in Haskell.

According to a press release from TCSO, officers were called out to a disturbance in Lawn last Friday, but upon their arrival, the suspect had driven away. However, they were able to identify the suspect as “JD” James Prickett at that time.

TCSO said Prickett fled the scene at speeds in excess of 115 miles per hour. After some time, authorities canceled their pursuit due to safety precautions.

A warrant for Prickett’s arrest was issued for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. A bond in that warrant was set at $100,000.

TCSO warned the public that James Prickett, also known as JD, was considered to be armed and dangerous.

He was arrested, shortly after the wanted alert was posted, in Haskell.
