4 new tenants coming to Tempe Marketplace
Tempe Marketplace announced today that it is adding four new tenants to the popular shopping and entertainment district. The diverse selection of brands will include the highly anticipated Sam’s Club, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Happy Beauty, and Enclave Salon Suites, occupying approximately 150,000-square-feet throughout the marketplace. These tenants will be open to the public this fall, with Sam’s Club slated to be completed in the summer of 2025. Additionally, J. Crew Factory, Pandora, and Rowan joined The District this summer, furthering Vestar’s mission to deliver high-quality, sophisticated clothing and accessories to shoppers seeking chic and stylish looks year-round. The addition of these tenants brings the center to nearly 100% leased.
Orme to lead Family Farm Alliance
BERTHOUD, CO- The Family Farm Alliance (FFA) board of directors unanimously approved Paul Orme, a rancher and attorney from Arizona, to serve as the organization’s sixth president, according to a recent FFA press release. Mr. Orme fills the seat of the late Patrick O’Toole, who passed away on February 25th, after serving for 19 years as board president.

PAGE, Ariz. — Two people are dead and two more are in the hospital after a suspected drunk driving crash in Page, the city police department announced. The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. when a driver on South Navajo Drive reportedly lost control of their vehicle and struck a nearby wall.

A LOOK BACK — NO. 44 HUBERT OLIVER. With it being the 44th day until kickoff between the Lobos and Wildcats, the best player to wear No. 44 for Arizona is running back Hubert Oliver, who played with the Wildcats from 1977-1980. An Arizona Hall of Famer, he earned second-team All-Pac-10 honors in 1978 and 1979. His career total of 3,096 rushing yards was the second best in Arizona history at that time. He accounted for nearly a third of that total during the 1979 season, which included a performance of 196 yards on 25 carries against Colorado State. He was named Pac-10 Player of the Week after a 27-24 Wildcat victory over arch-rival Arizona State in 1979. Oliver was team captain during the 1980 season and played in the 1981 East-West All-Star Game. He played in the NFL for five seasons, four with the Philadelphia Eagles. Oliver, who is now 66, lives in his hometown of Elyria, Ohio. He was an employee of the City of Elyria for 26 years in the maintenance department for the city’s cemeteries before retiring in 2016. He is presently in the process of trying to open a bar/restaurant in Elyria.
