The first Fiesta Sports Foundation Preseason All-State Football Teams will be celebrated at an in-person event at the Arizona Bank and Trust Fiesta Sports Foundation Football Kickoff on Aug. 15 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. The teams include 29 tackle football boys and 21 flag football girls.

Motorcyclist flees from Arizona troopers for nearly 70 miles, then is arrested at a casino
CHANDLER, Ariz. - A motorcyclist who fled from Arizona DPS Troopers on June 16 was arrested at a casino and the agency released footage of the whole ordeal. On July 18, DPS posted a video of the incident while the driver, Michael S. Khoury, 21, refused to stop for troopers. He was allegedly speeding and recklessly driving for 67 miles.

Grand Canyon men’s soccer added its third winner to its 2024 roster with the signing of forward Marcus Von of Colorado. Von heads to Phoenix via Broomfield, Colorado, where he attended Broomfield High School and won numerous postseason accolades. Von earned United Soccer Coaches’ and the Colorado High School Scholastic Association’s High School Player of the Year, Boulder County Player of the Year, all-conference first team and all-state first team.
