Piedmont man charged with attempted murder after gun fails to fire
A 51-year-old Piedmont man faces an attempted murder charge after a fight on Foothills Drive in Piedmont. The Piedmont Police Department says Andrew Bales hit someone in the head with a pistol, then pointed the gun at the person's face and pulled the trigger. The gun didn't fire and was wrestled away from Bales by the person he attempted to shoot.
