WC Handy Blues & Barbeque Festival gets underway

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- One of the largest free music festivals in the nation gets underway, as the WC Handy Blues & Barbeque Festival kicks off tonight. The event will open with Family Night with activities provided by the Henderson County Public Library and food trucks opening at 5:00 p.m.

The festival continues on Thursday with Zydeco Night, featuring Red Beans & Rice, Jambalaya, Cajun Sausage, and regular sausage sales beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Rex Jewell’s Red Beans and Rice Tent. Concessions for the festival open at 11:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday, and a beer garden will be open from Wednesday through Saturday.
