No Evidence Found of Plane Hitting Powerlines Near Sonoma on Sunday
A plane may not have flown into powerlines near Sonoma after all. PG&E had to make emergency repairs on Sunday afternoon, after a report of a low-flying plane clipping and downing powerlines near Sonoma Skypark airport. On Monday, PG&E said it found no evidence of any impact from a plane. It’s unclear what did knock down two spans of wire between three power poles, disabling electricity to 32 customers for several hours.
DUI Driver Crashes into Parked Vehicle in Petaluma and Drives Away
A DUI driver was arrested in Petaluma after crashing into a parked vehicle. On Sunday afternoon, several residents called to report a vehicle collision in the 2100 block of Falcon Ridge Drive. Officers determined that a driver crashed into a parked vehicle and drove away from the scene. A short time later, they found the suspected vehicle parked at a nearby residence and contacted the driver involved, 60-year-old Andrew Filshie. He showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol and was arrested. No injuries were reported.

Authorities identified a Penngrove motorcyclist who was killed late last week in a head-on crash near the Marin County coast. Alameda Man Charged with Murder, Felonies After Mass Shooting
More charges expected after 1-year-old son succumbs to injuries. The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office announced on Friday, July 12, that Shane Parrish Killian, 54, has been charged with four counts of murder and multiple felonies for the shooting and killing of his family members: his wife, Brenda Natali Morales, his 6-year old son, William, his mother-in-law, Marta Elena Diaz Morales, and her husband, Miguel Angel Carcamo. The shootings took place on Wednesday night, July 10, in the family’s Alameda home on Kitty Hawk Drive.
