BANGOR, Maine — The Fourth of July is punctuated each year by fireworks displays. While many enjoy their sights and sounds, some people and pets find it distressing. Beyond fireworks, crowds, changes in routine, and unfamiliar settings can all be impactful, according to child and adolescent psychiatrist Dr. Rachel Conrad.
Bangor Municipal Golf Course holds inaugural Hankapalooza

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A cold front will continue to move towards the coast this evening where it will stall out into early Friday morning. Watching for where exactly this front stalls out as it will guide the chance for showers along the coast by Friday morning. Clouds will return to the region overnight with lows that will range from the upper 50s to the mid 60s. It will be a warm & sticky night and there will also be areas of patchy fog along the coast.
Isolated Showers Possible Today & Tomorrow... Wet Start To The Weekend
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - A weakening cold front is forecast to gradually move through the state for our 4th of July. Scattered showers are likely this morning mainly over areas north and west of Bangor. Otherwise those showers are expected to move off to the east of the state by mid-morning followed by drier weather for the rest of the day. We’ll see partly to mostly cloudy skies today with just a slight chance of an isolated shower from late morning through the evening hours. Temperatures today will be in the upper 60s to low 70s along the coast due to an onshore breeze while inland locales see highs climbing to the mid-70s to low 80s this afternoon. Humidity will be increasing today too with dewpoints expected to climb to the low to mid-60s as the day progresses. Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy tonight and we’ll likely see some patchy fog tonight too. Temperatures will drop to the upper 50s to low 60s for nighttime lows.
