Old Town to host 'Christmas in July' movie night to benefit local food pantry
OLD TOWN, Maine — Christmas in July is upon us and the city of Old Town is making merry, with an entertaining charitable event. This Friday Mainers near and far are welcome to enjoy a screening of "The Grinch" along the banks of the Penobscot River, while indulging in delicious popcorn and s'mores. Hosted by the city and Downtown Old Town (DTOT), these event organizers encourage guests to bring a donation for the local food pantry.

Healthy Peninsula receives $100k grant to support aging Mainers
BLUE HILL -- Healthy Peninsula, a Blue Hill nonprofit, has received a $100,000 grant to help local seniors. The grant, which will be dispersed over three years, is from Point32Health organization and will help to fund Healthy Peninsula's Bridging Neighbors program, which provides companionship and healthy meals to area people over the age of 60.
