Anson Scout achieves Eagle rank
Nick Gower, of Anson, received the Eagle Scout rank, the highest award in Scouting, during a ceremony held on July 13 at the Garret Schenck School. His Eagle Scout project was a benefit to the American Legion. PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - While finishing any race is an accomplishment, for one gentleman finishing the annual Miracle Mile race was quite literally a miracle. Meet Sam Hiscoe, a 35-year-old who was born and raised in Houlton. In seventh grade Sam found out he had a heart condition that would progressively get worse over time. This year, Sam found out he would need a heart transplant, so he decided to document his whole journey through TikTok.
