Tonight will be mild and clear with temperatures dropping to the mid-60s. Tuesday will be dry and hotter, reaching the upper 90s with a few clouds by nightfall and lows in the mid-70s. Humidity and rain chances will return mid-week. The rest of the week will see highs in the mid-90s with increasing cloud cover and scattered showers likely by the weekend.
Bougard and Todd compete at the USA Olympic Track & Field Trials
Two of Byhalia’s very own competed last week in the USA Track & Field Olympic Trials, at the University of Oregon. Erica Bougard placed 6th overall with 6,912 points in the Heptathlon. She is the most-decorated athlete in Mississippi State University history with 16 All-American honors and holds five school records. She placed fourth in the heptathlon at the 2019 Outdoor World Championships and finished fifth in the pentathlon at the 2018 Indoor World Championships. She is a two-time USATF heptathlon champion and two-time pentathlon champion; a 2017 USATF long jump champion; 2013 NCAA pentathlon champion; twotime SEC champion; a three-time SEC Field Athlete of the Year; 2015 Cliff Harper Trophy Winner; and the first MSU woman ever named to The Bowerman watch list in 2015. Bougard is a graduate of Byhalia High School.
