Momed Atwater Village is celebrating its 10th anniversary with four guest chefs on consecutive Mondays this month.

The restaurant’s 10th anniversary “Immigrant Chef Series” features seven-course meals served family-style for $80 per person that are collaborations between the guest chefs and Momed chef Vartan Abgaryan.

“Each evening will highlight the diverse cultural and culinary heritages of the guest chefs, creating a vibrant tapestry of flavors that truly celebrates the richness of Los Angeles’ immigrant communities,” event organizers said in a statement.

The series’ four guest chefs are:

Susan Yoon from Orsa & Winston, Wolfdown and 71Above, who begins the series on Monday; followed by Nakul Mahendro from Badmaash on Sept. 16; Wesley Avila from Guerilla Tacos, Ka’teen and MXO Steakhouse on Sept. 23; and Vivian Ku from Pine & Crane and Joy on Sept. 30.

The dinner series also features five specialty cocktails and five wines by the glass for $10 each, and “to keep the festivities going,” the restaurant, located at 3245 Casitas Ave., will offer happy hour prices all night at the bar Sunday through Thursday throughout September.

Momed. will donate 5% of the proceeds from each series dinner to five organizations that assist immigrants and refugees — the Armenian Relief Society, Immigrant Center for Women and Children, International Rescue Committee, Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles and the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles.

The series “promises to be a flavorful and festive celebration of culture, community, and culinary artistry,” organizers said.
