It's been a bad week for drug smugglers on the Texas - Mexico border. Law enforcement officers made two large busts at International Bridges on the Rio Grande. The largest bust occurred Sunday on the World Trade Bridge between Laredo and Nuevo Laredo. U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) Officers discovered 98 packages containing more than 2,323 pounds of marijuana inside a tractor-trailer being smuggled into Texas by a Mexican truck driver. The load was valued at more than 5.1 million dollars worth of the drug.
