    Suspect shot during attempted home burglary in High Point, 3 from South Carolina face multiple charges, police say

    HIGH POINT, N.C. (WGHP) — Three South Carolina men face multiple charges in connection to a shooting during an attempted burglary on Monday, according to a High Point Police Department news release.

    Around 2:50 a.m., officers responded to a residential breaking and entering call in the 200 block of Avery Avenue.

    Greensboro man charged with murder; accused of fatally stabbing roommate

    People at the home said someone tried to open the front door and then broke a window in the back of the house to get inside.

    One of the people in the home grabbed a handgun and fired at the suspect, who ran off, police say.

    A short time later, officers were told about a person with a gunshot wound who arrived
    at a hospital.

    The person was listed in serious condition when they arrived.

    Detectives charged Aaron T. Barr, 25 of Dillon, South Carolina, Jaquante E. Bethea, 27, of Fort
    Mill, South Carolina, and Jamir D. Jones, 22, of Dillon, South Carolina.

    Each suspect is charged with first-degree burglary, felony conspiracy and felony accessory after the fact.

    Detectives say additional charges could be filed.
