Beloved Alabama teacher, 8-year-old son die in car crash
A Troy woman who was recently named “teacher of the year” and her child were killed in a two-vehicle crash in Pike County on Thursday evening. Heather Minton, 40, died from her injuries from the crash in Brundidge on Pike County Road 4421. A young passenger in her vehicle, which WTVY reported was Minton’s eight-year-old son, also died from injuries after being airlifted to a medical facility.
