Man found shot to death in Farmers Branch was first kidnapped with 2 minors, police say
FARMERS BRANCH – Police in Farmers Branch and Dallas are searching for suspects after three people were kidnapped and one of them shot dead.Farmers Branch officers found the body of 33-year-old Nilzuly Arneaud Petit on Valley View Lane near the Bush Turnpike at 3:40 a.m. Saturday. Police say they discovered that Petit and two children had been kidnapped hours earlier from an apartment complex in Northeast Dallas.The suspects then drove to Farmers Branch in a light-colored sedan, where they shot Petit and left his body, police say.Lewisville police officers later found the two minor victims walking on the I-35 service road. They were both unharmed.As of the last update from police, they do not know what, if any, relationship Petit had with the other victims.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Farmers Branch Police Department.

SWAT 2024 Was a Home Run
On Wednesday, August 14, over 600 new Patriots arrived on University Hill for Move-In Day. Over 100 upperclassmen volunteered to help the new students move into residence halls before the Student Welcome and Transition (SWAT) week festivities began. The incoming students were divided into four corps: Lexington, Concord, Yorktown, and Saratoga, each led by upperclassmen small group leaders and corps captains. They competed in events ranging from chant-offs to music performances, sports competitions, and other games to be crowned SWAT champions at the end of the week.

Memorial ride held for female motorcyclists who died over the weekend in North Texas
