The Jamestown City Council held a brief special-called meeting yesterday. The council approved the purchase of a fire truck at a cost of $120,o00. Fire Chief Jeff Landers and Major Philip Anderson learned about the truck, which came from another department in western Kentucky. Arthur Singleton, age 81, of Russell Springs
Arthur Singleton, of Russell Springs, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Jean Waddle Care Center, in Somerset. He was 81 years of age. Born on May 25, 1943, in Nashville, Tennessee, he was a son of the late Arthur and Ella Azalee Anderson Singleton. Arthur was a retired truck driver of over 42 years for Nashville Sash and Door. Arthur was a faithful member and deacon of Thomas Ridge Church. He was a very kind and sweet man, who was also strong willed and independent. Arthur was an avid fisherman. He loved his family dearly.
