Drinkwitz on Murray State: “It comes down to us executing our plan”
Today we’re talking about Mizzou Football. Obviously. Here’s what I could do this morning. I could wax poetic about the start of the season, the first Monday of game week, how we’re x and y hours away from kickoff, this and that. But here’s what I’m going...

Late summer heat cranks up for the final week of August
Mother Nature has teased us with previews of fall-like temperatures on a few occasions during August but it looks like we are in far a dose of reality as we close out the month through the upcoming week. One saving grace is that humidity levels have been very manageable for this time of the year so that has kept us out of any major issues with the heat index getting into the danger zone. More heat will build eastward the next few days so expect temperatures to get even hotter during the afternoons.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is recalling nearly 10,000 cases of this specific apple juice due to elevated levels of arsenic. Yikes! Don't worry, it's classified as a "Class II" recall, meaning it's unlikely to cause serious health problems. Still, better safe than sorry!
Republican VP nominee JD Vance is fundraising in Lexington
The reception fundraiser was originally scheduled in Pikeville, but campaign officials confirmed it will be a Lexington event. No reason was given for the change in location. Tickets for the event — which will also feature Congressman Andy Barr and ambassador Kelly Craft — start at $2,500 a person with photo opportunities at $15,000. Craft told the Courier Journal she’s proud to host a candidate who “started in the state of Kentucky and has never left his roots.”
