Ravens, Chargers Could Trade For Breakout Running Back
While the Houston Texans as a whole took a step forward during the 2023 season, running back Dameon Pierce had a year to forget. Entering the season as the starter, the former fourth-round pick finished the season with just 416 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 145 attempts before ceding starting duties to Devin Singletary midway through the season. Singletary may be gone, but with veteran Joe Mixon firmly entrenched as the starter, Bleacher Report’s Ryan Fowler believes the team could trade Dameon Pierce, and that Houston should find interest in the veteran.

Phoenix Suns Will Trade Devin Booker to the Houston Rockets
After a disappointing playoff run, where they failed to make a deep postseason push, if they have another season of no NBA Finals, the Suns will be forced to consider their future. With Kevin Durant nearing the end of his prime and Devin Booker in his peak years, the Suns are faced with tough decisions. If the team doesn’t achieve the success it’s built for, a major shakeup could be on the horizon—and that might include trading their franchise star, Devin Booker.
Erica Lee Carter, daughter of the late US Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, will seek to finish her term
HOUSTON (AP) — The daughter of the late U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, who died last month after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, will seek to finish her mother’s term in office. Erica Lee Carter submitted paperwork by Thursday’s deadline to be a candidate in a special election in which voters will choose who will complete Jackson Lee’s two-year term representing the Houston congressional district. Carter, like her mother, is running as a Democrat. Paperwork filed with the Texas Secretary of State’s Office shows that besides Carter, two Republican candidates are also vying to finish out Jackson Lee’s term. The district is solidly Democratic. The special election is set for Nov. 5, the same day voters will also decide who will succeed Jackson Lee and serve the district for the next two years. Earlier this month, former Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner was chosen by local Democratic precinct chairs as the party’s nominee. Jackson Lee had already won the Democratic nomination for what would have been a 16th term before her death on July 19.

This Disgusting Crime is Happening Way Too Much in Texas
I’m tired of this uncomfortable topic not being discussed, it’s happening way too much in Texas and across the country and it needs to stop. While I admit I don’t watch the news anymore I try to stay up on news and information that applies to Texas, and it seems like this crime is popping up all the time. I am talking about teachers, aides, and administration preying on students.
