City of Houston to Donate 200 Free Air Conditioning Units to Aid Vulnerable Residents
In a concerted effort to aid vulnerable residents affected by recent weather conditions, the City of Houston is stepping in with a generous offer. Coming hot on the heals of the devastation caused by Hurricane Beryl, which brought widespread and lengthy power outages across the Greater Houston Area, the city is set to donate 200 free air conditioning units to seniors, people with disabilities, and caregivers of disabled children residing in Harris County.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — A cow was captured on Houston Transtar cameras being utterly unstoppable on the Hardy Toll Road in north Harris County Saturday evening. The Harris County Precinct Four Constable's Office got a call around 8:15 p.m. about a brown cow wandering around the shoulder of the Hardy Toll Road at Northgate Crossing Boulevard near Spring.

Out-of-state fugitive arrested in Harris County
HOUSTON, Texas — Deputies from Harris County Constable Precinct 4 arrested an out-of-state fugitive on July 18, 2024, following a disturbance call. Deputies responded to the 18500 block of Skippers Helm and identified the female involved in the disturbance as Bryanna Stanley. Further investigation revealed that Stanley had an open felony warrant for theft with full extradition out of Will County, Illinois, according to a statement from Constable Mark Herman's office.

DWI suspect drives off Galveston pier
HOUSTON (KIAH) – A man is facing Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) charges after police say he drove off Pier 21 in Galveston and into the water. The man told officers that he swam to safety after the car plunged into the water, but that three other people were trapped inside. Police pulled the car from the water but did not find anyone else inside.
