The issue is believed to have started from a security update from the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, which is meant to prevent online hacking. Early Friday morning, a line of new code sent to computers that run Microsoft Windows started to crash, which caused worldwide fallout, including canceled flights around the world, 911 emergency outages, banks, courts, and hospitals have all been disrupted. The global outage has taken no prisoners across the country, which includes the Cowboy state.
