Grand Teton National Park taps local community to hear about priorities for management in the future
Grand Teton National Park hosted a public meeting at the Teton County Library in Jackson on July 16 to hear from folks about their hopes for the park for the next couple decades. The agency is looking for input on what it’s referring to as “desired conditions,” which is essentially how park staff should manage different parts of the park moving forward.
Energy Conservation Works contracts Melissa Turley as Executive Director
JACKSON, Wyo. — The Energy Conservation Works (ECW) Joint Powers Board approved a contract with Melissa E. Turley, principal of m.e.t. solutions, for executive director services during a special meeting last week. Energy Conservation Works creates equitable access to energy conservation and renewable energy to improve and preserve the quality of life for all residents. It is a partnership between the Town of Jackson, Teton County and Lower Valley Energy, and collaborates with community organizations to develop and implement programs.
Tech outage delays flights into, out of Jackson
JACKSON, Wyo. — A global tech outage has impacted travelers across the globe, including those attempting to come and go from the Jackson Hole Airport on Friday, July 19. “Due to third party technical issues, various airlines are impacted,” the Jackson Hole Airport said in a statement. “Please check with your carrier before leaving for JAC.”

JACKSON, Wyo. — In spite of many residents voicing their opposition to the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole (PCJH) housing development located at 1201 South Park Loop Road during the regular Town Council meeting on Monday, July 15, Town Council members unanimously approved the 21-unit townhome development. CASPER, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) - Waking up this morning, you may have noticed when trying to boot up your computer, you were met with a blue screen. The issue is believed to have started from a security update from the cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, which is meant to prevent online hacking. Early Friday morning, a line of new code sent to computers that run Microsoft Windows started to crash, which caused worldwide fallout, including canceled flights around the world, 911 emergency outages, banks, courts, and hospitals have all been disrupted. The global outage has taken no prisoners across the country, which includes the Cowboy state.
