1 Dead, 1 Injured in Helicopter Crash at Alabama Military Base During 'Routine Flight Training'
A helicopter crash at an Alabama military base has resulted in one person’s death and another being injured, during what was described as a “routine flight training.”. On Wednesday, Aug. 7, around 1:40 p.m. local time, military officials at the Ford Novosel base “were notified of a mishap of an AH-64 Apache helicopter conducting routine flight training on Fort Novosel,” according to a release shared with PEOPLE from the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Fort Novosel.
