HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — As deputies continue to investigate a robbery at a convenience store near Holland, they have released surveillance photos in hopes someone can help identify the suspect.

On July 11 around 3 a.m., deputies were called to the West Shore Mobil Mart on Riley Street near US-31 in Holland Township.

A man had come into the store, approached the counter, indicated to the clerk that he had a weapon and demanded that he hand over the cash from the register. The clerk gave the man an unspecified amount of money before he took off in a vehicle that was parked nearby, according to the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies are still looking for him. They described the suspect as a man with dark hair and a “heavy build” standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He was wearing a black jacket, black T-shirt and athletic shorts.

On Tuesday, the sheriff’s office said it was following up on several leads and shared still images of the man and the vehicle he left in from surveillance video.

Anyone who may be able to identify the suspect or who has any other information related to the robbery should contact Ottawa County dispatch at 1.800.249.0911 or Silent Observer at 1.877.88.SILENT (745368).
