HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — After decades in business, a Holland restaurant is set to close this week.

Jackie’s Place, located on W 17th Street near S Shore Drive, serves breakfast all day and works to provide “home cooked meals at reasonable prices,” according to its website.

    Report: Longtime Holland restaurant sold

The restaurant’s last day will be Friday, Aug. 2, it announced in a social media post.

“Serving the community for 40 years was only a dream when the owner Ken Kragt was fresh out of college,” the post reads. “Thank you all for the support, memories and love to make the dream come true.”

If you’d like to pay Jackie’s Place one last visit, the restaurant will be open from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday. It will also offer coffee and “a time to say goodbye” from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.

Jackie’s Place was recently purchased by DeBoer Bakkerij, according to a report from the Holland Sentinel. DeBoer, a bakery and restaurant known for its breads, pastries and cookies, currently has two locations in Holland.
