Smith Lake Park 4th of July Fireworks Festival: Know price before you go
CULLMAN, Ala. – For years, Smith Lake Park has played host to a popular Fourth of July celebration. This year, the cost to enter will be $5 per person, or $20 per car. Smith Lake Park has traditionally charged admission of around $5 per attendee, until 2022, when the Cullman County Commission voted to make the show free in celebration of the park’s 50th anniversary. Holly Pond pursues infrastructure improvements, declines alcohol review
HOLLY POND, Ala. – The Holly Pond Town Council on Monday, July 1, voted to pursue infrastructure improvements at the town ball fields, library and Finley Circle, while declining to review a proposal for alcohol sales in the town. The council voted to order new LED lighting for the softball field at a cost of $65,000. The approval came after the contractor working on the park offered to reduce the amount from the originally quoted $70,000 if the Town ordered the lights now. VINEMONT, Ala. – What could have been the whole of the town of South Vinemont flooded the Vinemont Sportsplex on Sunday night, June 30, as the municipality, along with Vinemont Baptist Church, held the third annual Fourth of July Celebration.
