Florida Mom Arrested For Leaving Daughter In Hot Car In Walmart Parking Lot

Hollywood, FL - A South Florida mother is facing child neglect charges after allegedly leaving her four-year-old daughter in a hot car for over 30 minutes while shopping at Walmart on Sunday.

Investigators say surveillance footage captured 34-year-old Anastasia Moloto inside the Walmart on State Road 7 in Hollywood around 3:00 p.m. Sunday, while her daughter remained unattended in a parked car with the engine off and the window slightly ajar.

Hollywood police arrived at the scene after responding to a call from a concerned witness

Officers safely retrieved the child with the assistance of fire rescue personnel.

Authorities emphasized the dangers of leaving children unattended in vehicles and stressed that the girl was fortunate to be unharmed.

Moloto was arrested and charged with child neglect.

She was released on a $10,000 bond but ordered to have no contact with her daughter.

The child's current condition has not been made public.
