‘Boy Meets World,’ star Danielle Fishel is showing her appreciation to fans for their support after revealing her recent cancer diagnosis.

On Tuesday, the actress took to Instagram to share a video message, highlighting her appreciation for the overwhelming positive responses she received after announcing her health update. She said, “I wanted to do a quick video to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart and from my entire family for the enormous outpouring of love and support and encouragement you have sent me since I announced my breast cancer diagnosis,” the 43-year-old shared.

Fishel went on to reiterate the importance of early detection, stating, “The only reason we found it that early is because I prioritized myself and made sure I got a mammogram.” She continued, “I know how important that is now firsthand, and I wanted to pass along that message.” She noted that many fans reached out to inform her they had scheduled their own mammogram appointments after hearing her news, including encouraging friends and family to do the same.

“If you have those yearly exams that you’re supposed to be getting, go and get them,” she urged. “Nobody ever wants to hear, ‘Hey, your test results were abnormal.’ But if you stay on top of it, hopefully, God willing, you can find out you have something when it is stage zero, like I did.”

As previously reported, Fishel first shared her diagnosis on the latest episode of her “Pod Meets World” podcast. “I was recently diagnosed with DCIS, which stands for ductal carcinoma in situ, a form of breast cancer,” she announced in the August 19 episode. “It is very, very early; it’s technically stage zero.”

Fishel plans to undergo surgery to remove the cancer and assured her fans that she will be “fine.”
