Flores pleaded guilty in March, admitting that on September 25, 2022, he and an accomplice robbed a Don Roberto Jewelers in Calexico, California. According to his plea agreement, Flores pointed a 9mm privately made firearm known as a ghost gun at two store employees to force them to the back of the store while the accomplice smashed display cases with what appeared to be a hammer. Ghost guns are homemade firearms that lack serial numbers, making them difficult to trace if used in a crime.
